Estimates, not quotes
Every price on Detailing Cost is an estimate built from published market data. It is not an offer, not a quote, and not a promise that any shop will do the work for that money. Real prices move with your vehicle's condition, your region, the shop's skill and overhead, the products they use, and how much prep your paint actually needs. A shop quoting above our range is not necessarily overcharging you, and a shop quoting below it is not necessarily a bargain.
Use the numbers here to walk in informed and ask better questions. Don't use them to argue that a shop is contractually obliged to match a figure on a website. That's not what this is.
No professional advice
Content here is general information about car care and its costs. It isn't legal, financial, or professional advice. Window tint law in particular varies by state and changes: we cite the statutes we can, but you are responsible for what's legal where you drive and where you get inspected. Verify current limits with your own state before you have film installed.
DIY guidance is offered in good faith and describes what the work involves. Anything involving machine polishers, heat guns, sanding, or chemicals carries real risk to your paint and to you. You take that risk on yourself.
